Terms of Service
These terms govern use of GoVet Mobile, practice-management software for mobile veterinary practices, provided by Litespeed LLC. By using it, the practice and its staff agree to them.
Who may use it
GoVet Mobile is licensed to veterinary practices. Accounts are created by the practice for its own staff. Accounts are personal to the staff member they are issued to and must not be shared outside the practice.
The practice's data
The practice owns its data. Litespeed LLC does not claim ownership of client records, patient records, appointments, notes or any other content a practice puts into GoVet Mobile. We store and process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The practice is responsible for the accuracy of what it enters, for having the right to enter it, and for obtaining any consent its clients need to give — including consent to be contacted by text message or email.
Sending messages to clients
GoVet Mobile sends appointment reminders, confirmations and other correspondence to a practice's clients on the practice's behalf, by email and text message. Those messages are sent as the practice, and the practice is responsible for their content and for complying with the rules that govern them, including obtaining consent and honouring opt-outs.
Messages are limited to transactional correspondence about care and appointments. GoVet Mobile must not be used to send marketing or promotional messages.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, under Stripe's own terms. Litespeed LLC does not store card numbers. Fees for the service are as agreed with the practice.
Availability
We work to keep GoVet Mobile available and its data safe, but the service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we recommend practices keep their own records of anything they are legally required to retain.
Acceptable use
Do not use GoVet Mobile to:
- Store or send anything unlawful
- Send marketing, promotional or unsolicited messages
- Attempt to access another practice's data
- Interfere with the service or attempt to circumvent its security
Ending use
A practice may stop using GoVet Mobile at any time; contact us to arrange export or deletion of its data. We may suspend access for non-payment, or for use that breaches these terms or puts the service or other practices at risk.
Liability
GoVet Mobile is a scheduling and record-keeping tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for the professional judgement of a licensed veterinarian. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the practice.
To the extent permitted by law, Litespeed LLC's liability arising from use of the service is limited to the amount paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date below, and continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
